I would like to get an estimate of how much my return is going to be for a temp job that I had. I was making 9.50/hr @ 40hrs/wk from the month of January up until July, thats about 10460 before taxes. I can not find my last pay stub to show the last amount of taxes withheld, could someone please help me?!?!?!?

If you don't know how much was withheld, there's NO possible way to say what, if anything at all, you'll get back. You'll have to wait for your Form W-2 in January to find out.

Without knowing what you had withheld, there's no way anyone can even have a clue of what you'll get back, since the refund gives you back whatever you paid in extra from what you owe.

If you are single, no dependents and not a dependent, no adjustments and taking standard deduction, your tax would be around $171, so whatever you paid in more than that would be what you'd get back. If you are at least age 25, you might also be eligible for an earned income credit of around $125.

Can you find any pay stub? That way you might be able to reconstruct the amounts withheld.

If you can do that, I'd suggest going to hrblock.com they have some good calcuators that can help you estimate your refund.

An exact answer from Yahoo Answers would depend on you providing a lot more information than you already have.

The amount you will get back, if any, obviously depends on how much was withheld among other things. You need to estimate your total income for the year and total withholding for the year in order to make a guess.

call the temp agency and ask them to send you a copy of the last check stub.
