January and February are the worst months for frost , march comes in like a lion and out like a lamb , generally speaking we have the same amount of rainfall every year what makes it different is wheather it all falls at once or it is spread out over the whole winter , anyway we had no summer and a mild winter we would appreciate .

Jumpers, jumpers and jumpers. whether it is going to be a moist, wet wintry climate or a chilly snowy one, determine you have a good pair of all climate shoes...what way the climate falls is all people's wager. If it is something like final wintry climate, snowy and greater chilly (snow isn't the extensive-unfold) there have been treacherous street situations as properly as very undesirable footpaths with ice and snow. The snow is great, it is the ice it is the demon. because it grew to become into strangely snowy final wintry climate, there grew to become into panic approximately getting the roads achieved and many places have been decrease off via snow. i got here across there extremely wasn't plenty happening in Galway, it grew to become into hibernation season. Streets have been extremely quiet to the element that I puzzled had I ignored something... yet that's final wintry climate! Rain kit, jumpers, a wintry climate coat and robust all climate shoes i could certainly propose. Umbrellas are smart too yet watch which you do no longer take off. If that's a chilly yet moist wintry climate, there remains plenty to do yet merely that our surroundings would be that distinctive than what you hear yet nonetheless eye-catching. Be adventurous and revel in what maximum folk do no longer come to be sure and journey.... oh and get some good gloves, hat and headscarf, and that i could propose additionally getting fingerless gloves in case you like taking photographs :) wintry climate sales regularly initiate in January (whether i think of it is now twenty 6th December), so in case you're a good purchase hunter for garments, and so on you will possibly desire to get fortunate! there remains plenty to do and notice, merely verify what issues are open whilst placed next to the summer season tourist season.

Its defiantly cold enough for snow but then again we seem to be getting a hell of a lot of rain this year so i don't think the snow (if we have it will) stay around long, either way its going to be a pretty miserable winter i think!

So far so good - you'd never think it was the end of the year - most days I don't need a jacket yet. But it could be a different story in January or February, and with Easter being so early next year, the same week as Paddy's Day, we could be wearing thermals and woolly hats instead of Easter bonnets ........

It hasn't been too bad so far (though we did have something like 80days of nonstop rain in the summer), I reckon Jan and Feb will be worse than December...
