I look for a lot in a boyfriend -a guy who is always himself, funny, outgoing, can hold a good conversation, and doesn't try too hard to impress. I like a guy who can do fun things and has interests outside of drinking and partying...but still likes that stuff too. An ideal boyfriend likes your friends or, at the very least, doesn't talk negatively about them.
I would not accept any guy who flirts w/ a ton of girls or who has had a bunch of ex-girlfriends, or who doesn't have any direction in his life. I'm not saying we all need rich guys, just someone who knows what he wants out of life. I also would not accept a smoker...but that's personal preference.

Want: honest, caring, intelligent, affectionate, able to take care of himself and me, confident, career minded, wants a family
Will not accept: lying, smoking, drug addiction
To the guy who said women want cheaters and abusive boyfriends ... no, that's not true at all. It sounds like you've been burned by a girl who left you for someone less worthy than yourself. It happens. You'll get over it. Have a little more confidence!

He must be : funny, intelligent, educated, fearless, polite, switched on.
Would not accept: a guy that thinks he's THE best, a guy that abuses me with either words or acts, a guy that doesn't trust my capabilities and, of course, a guy that doesn't like my family!

a kind, considerate and understanding man, someone who listens to me and cares about me...
looks are important initially but personality keeps my attention and allows me fall in love with the person,
treat women with respect, be trustworthy and above all be worthy of love and you are boyfriend material!

ok i have a boyfriend i completely love him.
i personally always look for a guy who can make me laugh, not extremely smart but not braindead, confident, sweet, sensitive, and being good looking cant hurt. but also i have to "click" with them. its kinda hard to explain but its true.
