Wow... it's always tough when you and your best friend share the same interests in a girl. But unless you made an agreement for both of you to not to pursue her... he is not necessarily a jerk.

Just tell him how you feel and leave it at that. If they are dating (or bf & gf) then just be the bigger man and leave it alone. There are many girls out there... you will end up dating many different girls.

On the other hand if you did have an agreement not to pursue the girl then he is not a good friend (let alone best friend). In that case you should consider not staying friends with him and just moving on.

Just know if he betrayed your trust like that then the relationship that he has with the girl will probably not last. He will probably screw up (betray her trust in some way) down the road and then you can pursue her if you still like her and you are not dating someone else.

i had kind of the same thing happen, except im a girl. me and 2 of my other friends all liked this guy, then he asked me out and i said yes, so they were all mad at me.
so no, i dont think hes a jerk. if he really liked her, then he should be able to go out with her, even if you like her too. you have a right to be mad, but not at him. just pick someone else to like for now...
hope i helped!

No, he no jerk, you were just to slow of your heels and should have asked her first. What do you expect? That he would take her out together with you? Wake up pall, get a life.

well u BOTH liked her.. and if the girl chosed him .. i dont think its unfair or hes a jerl.. pity the girl doesnt like u but accept it .. all has the right to go out with the girls they like not cuz their frens like the same girl they have to give her up.. thats unfair. imagine if u the one that went out with the girl.. ur fren wud be thinking this right now.. stand on his point of view and think about it

if you both liked her, did you make an agreement that neither would go out for her? i mean, what if it was you who went out with her first and he was all pissed?

He didn't say anything about not dating her and it's not like you wouldn't have starting seeing her if you could. So don't be angry, just be a man about it.

well, cupid, if you help relationships, shouldnt you have solved this one yourself?

i dont think it's him being "rude", rather you just not taking the opportunity to make a move.
