Jesus said: "The ruler of this world will be cast out." And he added: "The ruler of the world is coming. And he has no hold on me."—John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11.

So the ruler of this world is in opposition to Jesus. Who could this be?

The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." And the Bible identifies him, saying: "The one called Devil and Satan . . . is misleading the entire inhabited earth."—1 John 5:19; Revelation 12:9.

god is not ruling the earth right now.. satan is...
why would god allow satan to rule the earth???
doesn't he care about us?>??

from the very beginning satan used lies to make people sin.. think of adam and eve...
through adam sin entered the world...

think of adam like a cake pan...
he sinned.. so he got a dent in the pan...
now every cake that is made after that has a dent in it.

thats kind of how this world is... we are all sinners and imperfect because we are born from imperfect people. the cake pan has been dented so much.. we cant even imagine what it would be like to be perfect

satan is like a little kid testing his father..

say a kid is.... 3 years old.. and he says.. mommy i wanna dress myself this morning...
she could fight with him and say no...
but instead she says ... fine.. do it...
he trys and he trys but he cant do it..
his shirt is on backwards, his shoes are untied.. and nothing matches...

thats kind of how satan is with this world.. he was like. JEHVOAH.. I WANAN DO IT..
and he was like.. fine.. you do it.. you rule the world.. its yours... see how many peole you can get to worship you.

and thats why were like this today... if jehvoah just wiped satan off the earth and killed him right away... what would you think of god??

what if the little kid coudln't put his clothes one the right way.. would you kill him?

haha god is loving.. and everyone deserves a chance.. even satan.

1. The question implies that if a good God exists, then evil shouldn't because God, being all powerful, should stop it.
2. We need to ask and answer two questions. First, what is evil? It is that which is against God. It is anything morally bad or wrong. It is injurious, depraved, wicked. Some acceptable examples might be murder, rape, stealing, lying, and cheating. Second, if we want God to stop evil, do we want Him to stop all evil, or just some of it? In other words, if just some of it, then why? If He were to stop only part of the evil, then we would still be asking the question, "Why is there evil in the world?"
Let's suppose that someone was about to commit murder. God would have to stop him, maybe whisper in his ear, or if that didn't work, do something a little more drastic, like have something fall on him, or stop his heart, or make his hands suddenly fall off. Anyway, God would have to do something.
What if somebody wanted to steal? God would have to stop him too, right? Undoubtedly, God's imagination would permit a more practical method than I have suggested, but the end results would be the same.
What about lying? If someone were to tell a lie, then to be consistent wouldn't you want God right there to stop that person from lying? After all, He couldn't let any evil occur, could He?
Let's take it a step further. Suppose someone thought something evil. Then, of course, God would have to step in and prevent him from thinking anything bad at all, right? The end result would be that God could not allow anyone to think freely. Since everyone thinks, and no one thinks only pure thoughts, God would be pretty busy, and we wouldn't be able to think. Anyway, at what point do we stop - at the murder level, stealing level, lying level, or thinking level? As your question implies, if you want God to stop evil, you would have to be consistent and want Him to do it everywhere all the time, not just pick and choose. It wouldn't work.
Evil is in this world partly because we give it its place but ultimately because God, in His sovereignty, permits it and keeps it under His control.
Then you might say, "Couldn't He just make us perfect and that way we wouldn't sin?" He already did that. He made a perfect angel, Satan, but he sinned. He made a perfect man, Adam, and he sinned. He made a perfect woman, Eve, and she sinned. God knows what He is doing. He made us the way we are for a purpose. We don't fully understand that purpose, but He does.
3. God is sovereign; He has the right to do as He wishes. He has the right to permit evil for accomplishing His ultimate will. How can He do that? Simple, look at the Cross. It was by evil means that men lied and crucified Jesus. Yet God in His infinite wisdom used this evil for good. It was on the Cross that Jesus bore our sins in His body (1 Peter. 2:24) and it is because of the Cross that we have forgiveness of sins.
4. Consider the biblical example of Joseph in the Old Testament. He was sold into slavery by his brothers. Though they meant it for evil, God meant it for good (Gen. 50:20). God is so great that nothing happens without His permission, and in that permission His ultimate plan unfolds. In His plan He is able to use for good what man intends for evil. God is in control.

unfortunately i don't think anyone can answer that question honestly as i think god is a made up word. the reason i think this is because if life was meant to be rosey as what god planned, where did it go wrong? i think people are to blame for the misshaps of the world as there is so much suffering and violence. i mean take a look at the world, in one country there is war in another there is poverty and suffering and in another part of the world kids are acting like adults and kids are carrying around knives, gangs and their guns killing people by accident and now there are peadophiles messing with the next generation. and people talk about god, well where is he, i tell u where in the mind of someones imagination.

When there is more than one opinion....watch out!
You know that much from experience already....choices to agree or not agree. Some people think that they are the ones that are right and you had better not Disagree or ELSE!

Death.....Revelations says that it is appointed ONCE to die...and after that.....the JUDgement.

Everyone has to die a physical death.

Now then there are accidents......too many old people and too many young people driving cars and NOT PAYING ALL of their ATTENTION on the road......not watching others in their cars, not watching the turn of the wheels of the other cars, not watching a OBEYING green and red lights, people not seeing other cars because they are camoflaged by the corlor behind their vehicle. The best colored cars are Yellow & Red....and always have your lights on, and seat belt, and helmet.

Sometimes it is the biggy.......TO FULLFILL PROPHESY.

God is not the author of death & destruction, satan is.
God gave up control to the earth when Adam sined against God. God wants none, no not one, to parish but to come to
salvation through His Son, Jesus.

we come into this world innocent and sin free,, without knowledge of death ,
without knowledge of destruction,,,
and without knowledge of religion ,,
it is taught to us by man,, be it mother , father,,priest ,or friends
no one is perfect , not even god,,but who are we to question him?
he gives us life and free will,, it is up to us to make what we want out of our lives...
nothing on this earth is indestructible,,, all things come to an end, ma- be he is trying to tell us that if we don't start caring about our planet and each other ,, more death and destruction will happen,,,

Because this life and this Earth is temporary, and He wants certain people to wake up, to stop worrying so much about the flesh when the spirit is eternal!

So why are you worried about a body that is going to die one way or the other, when the spirit is eternal?

It's that kind of thing that only means something to those who are spiritual.

Sometimes when bad things happen to good people God will not help them because........Think of this (if your a believer) What happens when bad things happen? Like a child ill with cancer, Airplanes going into the trade center, War, natural disaster, etc. People start to pray even if they are not devoted Christians. By them praying to God their faith begins to strengthen and they become closer to God. Without bad things happening I believe a lot of people would be lost and not saved. If it takes 1 child to die (and go to Heaven) to save just one person from going to Hell I believe God prevails and his purpose becomes more clear. God does not like to see bad things happen but in the long run more people will be with him in paradise.

He does not, if you believe in the bible it says he "turned his back" on man after noahs ark as man had made such a mess of things.

Either way,It is man that produces war in the name of "god" and all the chemicals that cause cancer and the like. Also God only gives us what we can cope with. x
