You need to obey the law also. Speeding is technically a sin because it's against the law. So stoning children would definitely be out. Just because it says it in the Bible back then doesn't mean it applies to this day and age. Laws change so Christians must adapt to obey the laws of man.

i think the best thing for rebellious children is to be stoned! im pretty sure thats not what you meant though...

we select rules because we like rules, but our conscience realizes that most of them are wrong even if thats what "God" wanted us to do... at least at one point in time

Some people are just plain lazy. It is just too much effort to walk the correct path. They take the quick, easy way out.
