should I ask him out? do guys like when a girl asks them out?
There is this guy in my acting workshop that I really like. and last week he was acting like he likes me too, like putiing his arm around my shoulder and squeezing me, leaning aginst me and sitting very close. I want to get to know him better, but I'm not sure if I should make the first move or wait for him to do it. any opinions? also he is about 9, almost 10 years older than me.

No, the fact there is that you like him, cause everything he does will seem interesting to you and as if he likes you too,
as advice, when you like someone, don't be reluctant to let the person know.
if accepted, you made your dream to love and be loved
if not, you deliver yourself from the passion you goes through inside,
you can see it's always beneficial,
go on. don't deny your heart her feelings
goodluck

You could be casual. maybe start a discussion just before you're going to leave the workshop and say "hey, do you want to continue this over coffee?" That way its informal and low or no pressure to him.
Also, maybe the person you're interested in is a natural flirt. Typically people in acting are more outgoing. So it may be his style around people and not a direct interest. Again, by keeping it casual you could better determine that without hanging yourself out to dry.

two cases. 1.) i started giving out signs that i like this girl around 5 years ago, then she made the move to say that she likes, and even perhaps loves me, and what happened? She has been my gf for almost 4 yrs now.. :D 2.) i overheard some guys talking that they would sure hate it when a girl makes the first move, and that it was a big turn-off. So really, you'd have to decide for yourself. But what you *can* do is to give out signs to him too. Not necessarily to ask him out, just give signs.. :D but if he still won't budge, then i guess it's all up to you really, given the 2 cases abovementioned.

A great way to break the ice with him is start a coversation. Just talk about stuff that he likes and you like, find things in common. That way asking him out won't be that hard or him asking you out won't be that hard. Because it sounds like to me you both are shy. Him doing all that stuff to you sounds like flirting to me, but you can never be sure unless you talk to him.
P.S. You're legal right? It would be creepy if he's 10 years older and you're not legal, you know just a thought.......

He does like you and don't worry about the age gap as long as you are of age.
I'm sure he is going to ask you out, but it wouldn't hurt to flirt with him a little and let him know you're interested.
Next time you see him....give him a big smile and hold his eyes.....he will melt.

Just ask him... Most guys like the direct approach... we don’t like to play guessing games...
