My six month old male cat makes the craziest sounds, its so loud at night. At first i thought he was crying for a mate but he's been neutered and still does it. He doesn't sound in pain, just like he's talking! He's an indoor cat at the moment, do you think he wants to go outside?

I had a male cat who's name was Scrapper and he talked! He would say Mommy plain as day! Many people heard him. He would say milk and out. (I wish that I had never given in because he was hit by a car and killed) I think your little boy is lonely and wants you awake. Or maybe another cat to play with. Can you get another kitten so he will have company?

hee hee-- my Big Bad Baby Twinkle sometimes syas "Awah! if I say hello to her.

Cats are nocturnal animals- they sometimes sing at night. Perhaps they are serenading the moon <:-)

Two of my cats sing -- and they carry a toy around when they do that. --perhaps that's what your cat is doing.

Trust me, indoor cats have alot of good things to sing about -- the oudoors is a very dangerous and scarey place for a small vulnerable being--even a well-fenced in yard has a vulnerable point-- the gate. Not all members of Man"kind" are kind. . Keep him safe-- keep him home.

there are a number of things. one he is lonely, is trying to find a mate or he is letting other cats know that this is his territory, or he wants to go out side. another could be he is in pain. but if he is in pain he would be crying all the time. talk to a vet and find out.

Probably one the same reasons any cat makes noise:
1) He's hungry.
2) He needs to go the toilet/Wants to go outside.
3) He wants attention and a cuddle.

He probably just wants attention. Some cats are extremely vocal.

He might want to go outside but please do not let him there is too many dangers he can run into. My cats do this I think they are looking for one another or maybe it is a hairball I have not really figured it out.
