It depends how much you want it :)
Maybe if you stand off him he'll realise what he hasnt got... you might be thinkin ive stood off for ages!
Tell him exactly how you feel and in a nice way put all the decisions on him so you then no exactly what he wants.
Goodluck

This is a bit of a hard question. When a man wants to be witj you there is nothing that will stand in his way. He will make no excuses and only just jump in head first and see what happens. Your friend could honestly be afriad of losing his best friend and at the same time he could just be using that as his excuse. Its hard to tell with men sometimes. I know I dated my bestfriend and now we are married. You might want to share that with him. THe best relationships grow out of being best friends with someone first. Then everything after that is nothing be icing. Good luck!!!

if he really loved you and was interested etc then the thought of failure would not enter his head. he is either a wimp with no balls or is stringing you along for a free ride. either way your on a lose lose situation. Stand up to him tell him make a decision or your out of here anyway. if he proceeds down this road he is going to lose you as a friend anyway. and hell has he not seen when harry met sally, we can't be friends everybody knows that.

yeah i recon he will,
i think best friends can be bf and gf,
i mean at the end of the day a bf is supposed to be a best friend to you anyway, and closer.
even if it doesnt work out, if you are close enough then you'd get through it and probably laugh about it afterwards

TAKE CONTROL OF THIS SITUATION GIRL...listen you just need to tell him that you would like to give at a good try and if it doesnt work tell him that you will still be friends but with good memories...Tell him that life is short and you dont want to miss anything...

yes i do because if you explain to him how you feel and explain to him that you will stay friends if something does go wrong, tell him you would really like to give it a try and it would mean a lot to you.

prove to him that you really like him and you'd like to give it another try.
but dont be too aggressive or something. just drop hints and be subtle. im sure he'll see and figure it out when the right time comes. good luck ;)

Think you should agree with him instead of trying to persuade him... Then if he changes his mind you "think about it" - don't be too available for him!

Sorry to say this, but it sounds like an excuse to me. If he really fancied you he wouldn't hesitate.
