I listen to classified information all day. Most of it is military. I work about 20 hours a day. I'm pregnant. I have little time for family. I'm thankful I have a understanding husband who is blind. Lost his sight in an accident.

Exactly what does this have to do with the military?
Where do you work at that would require you to work 20 hours a day? That would leave you at most 4 hours of sleep, aside from commute times and anything else. Sounds kinda fishy to me.
I too was wondering how you could have babies all under the age of 1.
It sounds like to me that you are more concerned with the pay, and not your health. Sleep deprivation can be very very bad. I would suggest finding a job somewhere else, since it sounds like you most likely live around the DC area.

First - you're not a workaholic even tho you work a lot. A workaholic is someone who chooses to work at the expense of personal relationships.....its a person who lives to work.
Turning off your pager is not realistic, is it, since your job requires you to leave it on?
And you don't want to leave your job!
Have you talked with your supervisor to lighten the load? It seems to be the only solution.
It seems you have two options: 1) apply for another job within the agency you work for or 2) stay where you are & don't complain about it.
I worked for the fed gvt & stayed with my stressful job risking my mental & physical health. I never learned to cope & I wish I had exercised! I noticed that the employees who stayed in shape were better able to cope with the demands of the job. That doesn't give you more time with your children but you will have more energy & it will improve your mental health.

You need to pace yourself that's all sweety. Your doing good with a good job and good pay so hang in there and just pace yourself.
I've been in similar circumstances and Jack Daniels helped me get through those perlious times...lol
As for the pager going off in the wee hours of the morning. You can always limit who gets your number or at least conference those you have no reason to call in the wee hours of the morning.

Is this job worth your health and no personal life for a family or relationship. Pressure is good, it motivates you but it can cause medical problems in the long run. Be careful and take care of yourself, the pay is not everything.
You can love your job, but they will not care if you ill or gone because they will just find the next person to take your place.
And, you know d*** well the government don't care about you or me, so think hard and wise, your health or work.

Thankfully no, except in the case of Y!A's, I have about 150
questions right now waiting to be answered. So...gotta go.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

EDIT:
Like it or not, you have to slow down a bit. Your babies need a mother, alive and well.
Sometimes I haven't felt like praying, but I do it anyway. It's a matter of life.

Where were you at when you posted this? Nobody that deals with classified intel would ever be allowed to use yahoo as a median to vent their frustration. I'm sorry, it's a good story but more fiction, I'm afraid.

I work to live... not live to work! If you really don't like the pager going off all the time... there IS only ONE solution!

and the MILITARY connection to your question would be what???
How do you get to have babies under the age of 1?
Gave birth to twins, triplets, ?? and not avail of maternity leave???
Something fishy about your post.
Your choice, family above the job?
