It's an ancient bed-time storybook.

This is laughable, who taught you history. I would go into how wrong most of your idea are but it would take too long. One thing you are right about though is that many of the stories in the bible came from other ancient texts. I don't think that this means we should flat out reject the bible though. The fact that a few of the stories in the bible were taken from other texts really doesn't cheapen the message, or dissipate the importance of believing. Ultimately though I would say you are responsible for yourself and will have to make your decision on your own, do me a favor though read a little more and become a little more informed, don't take you information from sources like Zeitgeist.

Yes. We are to believe the Bible, it is the Word of the Living God. Horus, my friend, came from Semiramis' rebellion against God along with her husband Nimrod who was Noah's great grandson and their son Tammuz. These Sumerians spawned many gods and goddesses and even today this evil is among us.
God said, "Man cannot live by bread alone, but from every Word that comes from the mouth of God." The KJV Holy Bible is God's Word. Few understand it, but the Holy Spirit reveals the truth to those who ask.

The Bible is a very spiritual book meant to be spiritually discerned by men and women filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Without the Spirit of God on your heart to interpret - how it applies to your life, your circumstances, living and active, real and powerful - the Bible can be a very confusing, confounding, even conflicting book.
It is a parable for the saved, not a textbook for the damned.

"Anyways historians have proved chirstanity originated in africa"
You're joking right? Jesus was from Nazareth, which is a little town north of Jerusalem in Israel. The first "Christians" were in Antioch, which is in modern Turkey. The first church in Africa was in Corinth, but that wasn't founded for about 50 years after Christ's death.

This know that in the last days perilous times shall come , for men shall be lovers of themselves , covetous ,
boasters , proud , blasphemers , disobedient to parents , unthankful , unholy , without natural affection ,
trucebreakers , false accusers , incontinent , fierce , despisers of those that are good , traitors , heady ,
high-minded , lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God , having a form of godliness but denying the power
of it ; from such turn away . For this of this sort are they who creep into houses and lead captive silly women
laden with sins , led away with various lusts , ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth

the one thing I've learned with non Christians is sometimes they spend so much time rebuking Christianity. You say you believe in "god," which one? Historically, they cannot disprove Jesus, since they all believe He existed, but yet, cannot find His body to substantiate His resurrection.
When you find His body, let me know. Then I will believe you. But when you experience God the way I have, you can't dismiss the Bible or who He is.
You're looking in the wrong places.

The Bible is Gods word to man, He sent his son Jesus to die on a Cross for us. When you see a cross does it remind you of Jesus? When you see three crosses together does it remind you of Jesus? Of course it does, it is His way of reminding you that the Bible is true and that the only way to see the kingdom of God is thru Jesus Christ, John3:3, Our ancestors started this country on the Bible, look at all the other countries, are they as blessed as the US, most other countries that donot have any freedoms are third world countries yet they have all the natural resources. Its obvious that the blessings we have are not from ourselves. We are the most blessed yet Oil is worth more than gold but they who have the most of it live in poverty. This is a Christian nation, and I am sad to say God is now not allowed in schools or work or any where much, and as you can see, we have become the most violent country in the world. We need to get back to Jesus and his redeeming blood that he shed on the cross. Jesus's blood washed away our sins, now all we have to do is believe, have you felt Jesus calling you to believe, does the name jesus strike a cord with you, if it does maybe its time to make a decision, to follow Him, you can right now, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you made a decision for Christ or have any questions, Please send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Right.
Those "holy books" are meant to teach moral values... and some of them make reference to "the light of God" and the deeper mysteries.
The problem comes up when these books are misinterpreted. This resource spells it out nicely.

You say "finding converts" as if it was a contest. NT Biblical accounts of prostylization say "if they don't like it, shake the dust off your feet and move along", not "sell it to them like a salesman". They can take it or leave it.
