If I have a share in this ownership, I humbly vote that he be sent back to where he never came from.

I sense that you were really just venting and do not actually want an answer. But I'm going to answer your question anyway. You can take it or leave it. The choice is yours.

These phrases stem from the old patriarchal and heirarchical social structures and ideologies that imagined God and Christ as rulers. In other words, the ruling class basically hijacked God and Y'shua (Jesus) the Christ, and reframed their images in accordance with their own political beliefs.

Spirituality is not about ownership; it's about relationship. You have the right to make your own choices about whether or not you want a relationship with God, or whether you even believe in God. But in the future I hope you leave out the insulting language when you post a question.

As a survivor of abuse and someone who has an immune disorder known as multiple chemical sensitivity, I went through several periods in my life where I had to question my faith. When I was younger and becoming more and more aware of the state of the world, I wondered "Where is God?"

Because of serious Biblical discrepencies, power mongering, and hypocrisies, I no longer adhere to the institutional church or organized religion--which I consider an oxymoron. Yet I still believe in God.

This kind of questioning is good and healthy for believers and nonbelievers alike. But attacking is just not useful

Peace to you.

I am sure that you talk about "my spouse"- "my friend" etc- however you do not own them, or you are not supposed to. When I say "my Lord" and "my Savior" , I am saying that I have a personal relationship with Him. If you really knew the Lord you would understand- faith would open your eyes to the fact that He desires us to have that relationship with Him. You have a choice to believe or not- but my friend, (oh sorry)- I hope and pray that one day you can truly call Him yours as well.

No. It's more like saying we have a relationship with him. Do you own your best friend? Does he or she own you? Multiply a best-friend relationship to the power of an infinite number and you'll start to have an idea of what "our" means in the term "our Lord."

When use the phrase "my wife" or "my daughter" it doesn't imply ownership. It just distinguishes them from other mens' wives and daughters.

"Our Savior" when said in church implies that Jesus is that congregations savior. But when you say "Our Savior" to someone who's Hindu, for example, it distinguishes our God from their god.

This know that in the last days perilous times shall come , for men shall be lovers of themselves , covetous ,
boasters , proud , blasphemers , disobedient to parents , unthankful , unholy , without natural affection ,
trucebreakers , false accusers , incontinent , fierce , despisers of those that are good , traitors , heady ,
high-minded , lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God , having a form of godliness but denying the power
of it ; from such turn away . For this of this sort are they who creep into houses and lead captive silly women
laden with sins , led away with various lusts , ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth

Do you love the Christian love being directed at you for this question?

Personally, I only direct that kind of animosity towards those who don't like Mick Jagger.

Um, You sound like you don't know what the heck you are talking about, "Our Lord & Savior" is Jesus Christ. He is everyone's Lord & Savior. And he wan't you to except him, but he is still your God even if you don't accept him.

What a thoroughly moronic question--quite appropriate for the intelligence level of the asker, I'd say. When I speak of "my mother", does it mean I own her? Certainly not.

So do you own you mother and Father?
Do you say My mom? OR do you say this lady that squatted and pushed me out?

Can we vote to send you back where you didn't come from?

nonexistence is nonexistence so no one "own him" but whoever created the story owns story rights.
