Cheese and hummus or cheese and pate always on toased bread, unfortunately being pregnant i cant have the latter
I also like a nice prawn mayo and lettuce baguette
And a lovely peanut butter and marmelade sandwich for something sweet.

A British invention: the bacon buttie (as in butter!). Not for the faint of heart, you combine cooked bacon, melted cheese and whatever additions you like, in the bread. Then, you saute it, in butter of course, till the bread is nicely toasted.
Perfect on a cool day!
