what are you saying Chicky monkey?

why god need a rest? he tell anything be and it will be + he did create night and day and create you and your brain and what comes with it he created every thing you see and you don't by just saying be and that thing what ever it was will be as god say.

and as I told you god created sun and the moon and day and night and sky and earth and god mad your feeling, like sleepy and tired, so those things comes with the human from the day his/she was born. baby feel the need to sleep and he doesn't know anything about god so the point of god set anexample is invalid okay and do not be arrogant and extant your limitation and discos god like how god look like and what color god is and so on. this is not the time for that, the time for that is when you die and come up one more time you would know whats up then.

The term "rest" is used but the original hebraic word shabath is first translated as "cease" as in to be finished and have no more left to do. As well, the establishment of time was for our benefit...the 24 hour day from evening to the next exists for us and as well the Sabbath which was to point back to creation in order to serve as a reminder to whom we belong and just how powerful He is. So there is not such perameter as time however, the 7 day week is ours along with the 7th day rest as a covenant between us established before the fall of man because He knew it was coming and had set before the foundations of the earth a plan to redeem us. God is not idle and has no need for anything, tangible or intangible. Be very careful with your irreverence since all He has done...He has done for you...whether you accept it or not..its a profound thing. Bad things often happen to scoffers...even more so to those that mock God. Love in Christ, ~J~

Well I thought that they could only count on the fingers and toes so if they ran out of numbers then they would get lost.

So they came up with the number 7. and they would count to the sixth finger and tie a bit of wool around it so they knew when to have a day off for the rest day and catch up on the prayers and so forth what ever they did back in-time.

Hmm try counting up to a thousand on your fingers and see if you get lost on which finger you made the mistake on.

Rested on the seventh day? He has been resting ever by using fact that he despatched his son to earth to be killed....i don't understand if every physique notices this yet God Hasn't shown himself for an exceedingly very long term...

God never needs to rest, But God was setting an example, to show people that we will have a Milliuennium here on this earth that will last 1000 yrs. If we have the baptism of the Holy Ghost, then we have entered into Jesus Christ rest, our rest while we are alive is in Jesus Christ. So God was only setting a type & shadow. God NEVER gets tired.

In Islam we believe that God did not rest, He built the Heavens and the Earth in 6 days. End of. No rest. Rest is for humans who tire, God does not tire. Imagine if God got tired now and just went to sleep or dosed off who would be in control of the world? How can you worship someone who gets tired??

although your point is to belittle the LORD i will answer your question.

For God to speak the world into existance and record the acts of creation as days (24 hour periods, never mind the fact that days were shorter long ago, and yes i know about that), the rest that is spoken of is for our benefit.

Rest is a state of being. For the christian, rest is what we have in the LORD as we await to go to heaven or his return. Yet we work in this life, with a promise of rest in the Holy Spirit.

These are spiritual terms that christians understand in specific context. When you group them as a whole as you have done, you look ill informed and quite honestly, in need of taking time to think out your attempt to defame the LORD.

It is okay though, as we don't see you as anything other than a fellow human who needs salvation.

Who said He had to work?? So what if He sat back for a day and enjoyed His creation. I know that God didn't HAVE to rest, I'm sure He just wanted to. Would you blame Him? I don't think He is still resting...He works everyday in my life.

Not so much to rest as o reflect on what he created... He goofed on creating man alone so he had to come up with some ideas about creating Eve and this be taxing even for God!

The bible said that their god rested because humans need rest after working. Man created god in his own image.
