I disliked the way they were leaving the bible and clinging to traditions of men. I stood up for scripture but was attacked by denominational which I was used to but then the attacks started coming from my brethren that was a bit much to handle.
Love is great and Paul said the greatest of these is Love, but when you claim love is even greater than what the bibles says when it comes to salvation, then it is not love but an imitation that leads away from the bible and if the bible is truth leads away from truth.
I left because my studies kept revealing to me the errors and contradictions of the bible and it is no wonder why men cannot agree on what it says because of all the contradictions and errors.

If you don't mind I will focus on a positive aspect of my church.
1. there is NO paid clergy. We all have callings in the church and that is what makes the church what it is. None of us are perfect but we are all trying.
2. We are of one mind and of one body. We have a president that leads the church. (not paid either) We follow his council as one body. This really help keep the church in order. In the bible it says that even if we disagree with some things we must try hard to be of one mind. It's ok to have disagreements but we must try to work together and support the head of the church as best we can in rightiousness.
3. We home teach one another! Yes that's right. We actually go to members homes and teach them the word out side of church. Every member is given five families to teach and to fellowship.
4. We have classes for our youth that teach they need to be chaste and that they are the future christian husbands and wives of America. They are taught by church and parents to WAIT till marriage to be intimate.
Learn more if you choose.

I decided when I was ten that I didn't believe in God, but I went to church to make my parents happy. I quit when I was 18.
Probably didn't have much to do with the church (though I hated being the only family there that didn't have a 6-figure household income).
Biggest problem I have with the church I attend now is isolation. It's a beautiful piece of riverside property, but it's out in the skirts of town, so it doesn't do much in the way of community involvement. (And yes, I'm still one of the lowest income households in the church, but it doesn't bother me so much any more.)

why are you focusing on the negative
there are many wonderful churches out there
ours is a bible believing...soul winning church
we take no offering, have no debt, give out 100s of 1000s tapes and books out each year free of charge. We never ask for money.
We evangelize the world and have a core group of believers that are closer than most families.
Get past the negative and find and life in the positive.

My wife and I have started worshiping at a new Church, so far it seems fine. The last Church we were at had a core of people that complained about all of the work they had, but wouldn't let you help. After 8 years we gave up trying to fit into their click of people.

I'm an ex-JW. I left because I disagreed with the theology. I also disliked that since I was a woman I didn't seem to count as much, and would never have a chance to "teach" even though I was very knowledgable. I'm naturally intellectually curious and hated being spoonfed answers over and over, especially when I knew them already. Plus asking questions was discouraged. So, I felt that I was forced out to seek a higher (secular) education where I found a better religion for me that I completely agree with.

each and every prayer I easily have ever prayed has been spoke back. techniques you, "No" remains an answer. human beings look to miss that. How do i understand that even the "No" solutions have been nonetheless solutions? because of the fact i haven't ever regretted no longer getting a undeniable on those prayers. whilst i glance returned, I understand that a "No" grew to become into consistently the greater advantageous answer. There have additionally been some "No"s that I surpassed over. That in no way grew to become out properly. There have additionally been somewhat some "specific"es, one that i think of God could have achieved just to teach me that i do no longer consistently choose a "specific" (and, returned, finding returned I delight in that he confirmed me that). the priority is, in case you have self assurance prayer works then each and every prayer is spoke back (I do, so i think each and every prayer I easily have is spoke back, nevertheless I freely admit it might desire to easily be my very own perception of events). in case you do not have self assurance prayer works, no answer would be adequate (because of the fact the respond will the two no longer be what the guy needs or they wont comprehend the respond as being divine particularly than mundane). as an example, say I pray for rain and it rains. If that an answer to prayer or a accident? If i think, then that's an answer. If i do no longer, that's a accident. If it does not rain and that i think, that maintains to be an answer. If it does not rain and that i don't have self assurance, then it is an affirmative of my (loss of) ideals. Edit: that's exciting that maximum who says they have spoke back prayers get numerous destructive votes at the same time as people who say that they've not had prayers spoke back get helpful votes. Edit: No is a wonderfully perfect answer. If a discern consistently pronounced specific to their baby, it is asserted as spoiling. Prayer is for speaking with God, no longer for buying issues achieved for you.

boring pastor, uncaring attitudes, self-oriented, too much sin in the church that hurts others, gossip, fake behavior, spirit of strife present, stale sermons, "Sunday only" attitude toward meeting one's obligations toward God. over-emphasis on money and non-biblical interpretations on tithing and offerings, to the point the sheep are being bled to death.
pastor has to spend more private time with God to get fresh revelations from god. he needs to actually read the bible about what a tithe really is and what it is actually used for, and when it is appropriate, show more concern for individuals, be a leader and not let fake people take over, preach on gossip/slander and its consequences (penalty on OT was leprosy), be open to the gifts of the spirit as being active today, if we do not just quench the Holy Spirit
A dead church is less than mediocre in its attitude toward caring for God and others, has no love, just a name, expresses disbelief in the gifts of the spirit...Sunday only attitude. no mercy or charity. ..and the worst part, is that people do not want anything else but being dead, they are happy this way....

I am baptized C of E.
I don't follow them because of personal study of the bible, they like so many others do not follow Gods word the bible.
Churches in my opinion are not the place to find true worship or teachings.
I don't know what the truth is but it is not in any Christian church I have been too.
It's some where in the bible.
