he always tell me that he loves me but sometimes he acts like he doesn't know me. how can I trust what he say if I don't even know if he's serious

Age is important to this question. Males mature mentally at age 26 +/- 2 years. Younger then that may be just lust. Not a bad thing but not "love". If your friend is around other desirable woman do his eyes roam when he is talking or looking at you? Does he get a goofy smile when he is around you? The brain actually gives out chemical signals when one is with a love partner. This lasts about the first two years. Go to the court house and watch the couples applying for a marriage license for a good example. Does he go out of his way to be with you? Does he give you compliments and admiring glances? Is he concerned if others bad-mouth you? Does he defend your interest and not see any flaws? Does he want you to meet his folks? Is he willing to do things with and for you that are not in his normal comfort zone? There are probably many other indicators. Ask your girl friends how they size him up? How about your parents? Do they, especially your Mom, like him? If you have Brothers or other male friends, that you trust, ask them how they size him up.

Very simple question .
You can feel that he is very worry of you. Care about you more. Wanted to see you more . Wanted to be with you more each day pass by.
Love is a very miracle thing everyone feel it , it is just that some people dont really believe it when it is there .
So just feel it with your heart .

or when he can tell you anything or you can talk about anything and he is completely comfortable with it
