why do you think God didn't tell the people that wrote the bible about penicillin?

i can understand why he didnt tell them how to make TVs, computers and cars, but why not penicillin. it could of saved millions and millions of little children from a horrible death.

he told them some things to help their daily life in the bible. so the bible isnt just about the here after it's meant to be a guide to make life happy aswell.

i think that tells us it was writen by men. they tell us basic things that men new back then.

then why dont they use his name instead of penicillin.

penicillin is such a simple thing that does a huge amount of good. if the bible was from God and he wanted to tell us how to have a happyer life, that is one of the first things to tell us.

The bible tells us to :
1) Wash hands before eating,
2) Wash all over if you have been near dead bodies,
3) The life of the body is in the blood,
4) People with communicable disease should be separated,
5) Have a balanced diet,
6) Bleed meat before you eat it,
7) Don't mix certain foods.

All of these have been proved as extremal advantageous to promoting good health and keeping disease away. Plenty of other advice there to. Go and have a look.

Adrian, it is really simple if you think about it. If you ask why did we not include in the constitution of the United States no mention of penicilin or modify the constitution today to include penicilin and instruct that all doctors use penicilin for certain diseases it will be clearly inappropriate.

The Constitution is meant to be so comprehensive and all covering, that all specifics are covered through implication, rather than specification, if not the constitution will become an encylopedia in many volumes, if EVERYTHING there is to know is added, rather than the constitution.

When people allowed freedom of thought for a mere two hundred years, penicillin and many other cures came about. The reason is actually following the Laws of the Almighty without adding our own prejudices and dogmas into it.

Freedom of conscience is what the Almighty has given all mankind. Equality has been created for one and all, without any exceptions. When you distort the basic teachings of the Almighty, penicillin will not be discovered. As soon as you correct the distortions, penicillin will be discovered.
