If you created a sophisticated android, would you want it to acknowlege your presence?
Given that you probably created it to do work for you (a need God did not have), I'm sure you'd be pissed if it up and ran off while trampling the flowers in your front yard.
This might make you unsure of your abilities as an engineer, but then I will assume God is perfect for the duration of this inquiry and answer and would not be unsure of his power.
However, if he were not, and you created a faulty android, and He made us, neither of you would give a damn what happened to your creations.

If he were not a loving God, I don't see why he would care either.

Would you deny your mother the satisfaction of a phone call from time to time if she did do a good job raising you?

Edit: This would be easier if you put in some assumptions for the argument, set up the stage a little.

Because God has given the free will, He is expecting human has to seek Him. Good and evil are in the world.

Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of good and evil. so, human has to select to seek God. It is not about the power

God cares about us believing in Him as u would care for ur child believing in u.
What if u had a kid, & he kept asking if u existed.
What if u gave him life and he turned against u.
God loves us, if u don't believe in Him, He won't sweat it, He loves u so much He alows u to ask questions like this one without striking u down.
How can He be unsure of His powers, when He is all powerful.
u don't have to believe in Him, He gaves u a free gift of love and salvation, if u choose not to except it. That is ur choice.

God created us for his delight and gave us free will to chose to love him. He cares because He loves us we are human being in Hebrew that means "god-like beings" When you become a parent and your first child looks like you and your wife or husband. There an instand love there. Everything that child does is delight to you from his first cry and the first smile at you. God is your Creator of your soul that energy that inside of you. That is a part of God.

Assume for a minute that God is imaginary. It all makes sense now, doesn't it?

I dunno. Better yet, why did he create us just to have us worship Him? Why not create us pure of heart and mind, no tree of knowledge or any crap like that. On top of that why create us and leave us with no proof of His existence? It seems kind of cruel if you ask me. A God who creates us to worship Him even though we don't really know if he exists or not, and if we don't worship Him we burn eternally in Hell. I don't think I signed up for this :(
