I have read it at least a dozen times (probably more like twenty times) in at least a half dozen versions, including most of the New Testament in the Greek (with lots of helps).
I suppose I have read parts of the Bible 50 -100 times, and spent thousands of hours studying it.
I try to read it every day, but I wish I read it more.
I think I can say honestly with the Psalmist:
"The Law (teaching) of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces"
Psalm 119:72
and as for your comment - you are correct:
"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
Revelation 21:8

I read it three times, but skipped some begats the last time. I have read about half of the book of Mormon spent many hours trying to read the Koran. And insignificant efforts with other religious textbooks.
I no longer have an interest to read through the Bible like a book (or other religious texts) I have found spiritual belief that sustains me. I still read the Bible frequently to find inspiration along my path. I find it in many of the other texts also.

Lying is NOT a mortal sin. God will not send you to Hell for lying .Since you are telling a lie about a lie,do you expect to go to Hell?

This know that in the last days perilous times shall come , for men shall be lovers of themselves , covetous ,
boasters , proud , blasphemers , disobedient to parents , unthankful , unholy , without natural affection ,
trucebreakers , false accusers , incontinent , fierce , despisers of those that are good , traitors , heady ,
high-minded , lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God , having a form of godliness but denying the power
of it ; from such turn away . For this of this sort are they who creep into houses and lead captive silly women
laden with sins , led away with various lusts , ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth

Yeah, I've read the whole thing, but it was a long time ago.
Trying to read it again...but it's really hard to read it straight through, when it's not in chronological order. So I'm kind of skipping around instead.

Given their short attention spans, it's practically impossible for any Christian to read the Bible and retain most of the information. Which means that they always will be missing something.
