Hmmm...fasting and drink only water? I don't know if that's a good idea for 2 weeks.

My suggestion is that you should at least drink some kind of juice. I did a 4 week spiritual fast drinking fresh squeezed lemond juice with grade B maple syrup and a little bit of paprika for taste. It was wonderful for me, no harmful anything and lost a good amount of weight.

Drinking only water may be a little harsh on your system. Can you drink the lemonade that I just described? Try it for the first time and see how your body respond to it; water just seem so...harsh.

I would say 2 weeks of that, you will loose aobut a good 10-15 lb but that just don't sound too helthful.

It sounds like you are a decent weight, although I am unsure of how tall you are so I don't really know! But anyway, the answer to your question is NO. Your hair will not, well it should not fall out.

Hair loss is usually a result of poor dieting with severe malnutrition like being bulumic or anorexic.
Fasting for 2 weeks is a MAJOR sacrifice and it is commendable to do. Fasting is not the same as an eating disorder so you should not be too worried about hair loss!

You should not experience hair loss but if that is of a major concern to you and you feel you will you may be at risk, do not fast for the entire duration of 2 weeks!

I am familiar with spiritual fasting. Can't help but be curious as to your expressed purpose for this one.

This seems long, longer than most. And being a total fast, too. Having just spent days and days beside a relative's bed in the hospital, someone who had too much water and it caused a number of other problems -- Will your fast be monitored by a Dr.? And is THIS method and length of time going to the extreme of endangering your health??

A number of years ago I went for weeks on just liquids. What it did to my body and my mind was not good. I lost the sensation of hunger for a number of years, which inturn was behind several health problems. Caution and moderation in what and when and how you go about a fast for the sake of your health, please. I do not recall that my hair fell out. I do recall that my abilities to perceive correctly and to reason were impaired for a considerable length of time.
Look back at the Book of Daniel. As a young man he followed a vegetarian diet for a specific purpose -- out of his devotion to God.

Most spiritual fasting I am familiar with is more like:
Total fast (water only) for prayer -- one day, maybe 2
Partial fast ( omit a category of food ) -- 1/2 day to 1 week
Lent is when people omit a food for a specific number of weeks out of their spiritual commitment.

Usually prayer and fasting go hand-in-hand as an offering to the Lord. There is usually a specific purpose for the fast. The concept is to set one's self aside dedicated to that goal. Often it is for discernment on a matter, or out of commitment for a specific purpose of honoring God with one's body as a sacrifice so that you can devote your time and energy to something.

This length of a total fast really needs a Dr.s approval and monitoring. For your health, please consider either a modified fast or a shorter length of time. It can be hard to stay focused for that many days.
