My oldest sis told(not asked) us that she was having Thanksgiving AND Christmas at her house cuz she wants to and plus her adult children were all coming. Mind you we all have kids but they arent adults like hers.
Normally we all go to my brothers home and have gone to her home for Christmas. My brother told her well, we normally have it here and Id really like to keep it that way as we dont live that close......so to make a story short, she didnt want to accept that ans. My family decided on impulse last week to go to my brothers like norm. My sister is now all mad due to us all not coming up to her home. She says she feels rejected . She has always had her way and it is not going over well. Is she being rediculous??

Well your sister is going to have to except what the majority wants to do or she can just have a second gathering on another date...She will get over it, you would think people would like others hosting the party would be great, less clean up and you dont have to worry about the food...I will go to your brothers house myself LOL I would rather not deal with throwing a party ") Whats for dinner ????

If her kids are adults, and married, they are probably obligated to go to both families' houses for Thanksgiving, ro they may be bringing their families in from out of town to visit your sister. That may be why she wanted it there.

Why not compromise and have one over there and one at your normal location? There is no reason to cause a family feud over such a trivial matter, especially during the holidays. It is very difficult to get adult children together for the holiday. You will understand one day.

I would feel the same as your sister BUT in all fairness, it seems like a tradition that you have holidays at your brothers home. If she would have asked yall ahead of time like the last thanksgiving then everyone would have maybe felt different. I hope shes in better spirits before tomorrow!
