How can I get discovered in La,California?

Please Help Me!
I am a fabulous singer.I would love to know how to become a singer.Dont tell me 'get an agent' or anything.Tell me how I can get discovered by Record Labels and producers.It would mean alot to me.

Well you are already in the right city. But you have the wrong attitude. For the record labels to discover you they have to hear you perform. To do that you need a gig (well in reality many) and a fan base wouldnt hurt. How do you get all these bookings?? AN AGENT. Oh i know you want some magic bullet here, but unless you KNOW someone in the buisness and can get in thru the back door, you gotta work for your dreams.
