Yes it does, it strips the pigment from the hair obviously, along with everything else, and it ruins the elasticity of the hair shaft. So when you come your hair, the strands are extra stretchy and they either break or fall out in your brush... i wouldn't suggest bleaching or stripping... go to a salon and ask them to remove color gradually, like two shades at a time. You wont ruin your hair that way~

Yes. Put some bleach on your skin. Feel how it burns? It's doing that to your hair. And your hair is already dead and can't fix the damage.

Just go easy on it and you'll be fine. But remember: you were born with your natural hair color for a reason. It coordinates perfectly with your skin tone and eye color. Messing with either can make you look kind of goofy.

is this shade darkish/deep? It sounds it by making use of the product call. And your hair isn't very darkish. it relatively is quite uncertain which you are going to wish bleach utilized earlier the colour. you will no longer want that lots raise. that's greater probably it relatively is many times a one-step technique. besides the incontrovertible fact that, all everlasting hair colours use some style of "lifter" in that one technique--many times peroxide, yet others may be purely as damaging. Going darker mostly isn't many times as damaging as going way lighter, simply by fact a decrease proportion of peroxide is needed. besides the incontrovertible fact that, over the years, definite, you need to get injury. Why no longer attempt a strip or 2 of shade for a funky look, and to be sure how the strip of hair holds up over the years, earlier going complete-head?

Yes it ruins it by stripping all the natural oils from your hair. The oils protect your hair and without them your hair gets fried and dies really easy. It is also possible that your hair could fall out if you do that too much.

Bleach actually puts little holes in your hair. That's what makes it reflect light so it looks blond. If you want an interesting test, take a small swatch of human hair (like when you get it cut) and put bleach on it. If you leave it on long enough, it feels melted. That's what's called redox.

Let me think........mmmmmmmm, Maybe an illustration will help here.... get your absolute best and most worn black or other solid colored shirt out, lay it on the counter, put one drop of bleach on the shirt and see what happens!!! It is ruined right. If you continue to do so your hair will eventually end up the same way

Yes; unless you take very good care of it.

i.e. either going to a professional to get it done or being VERY VERY careful when doing it yourself. NOT exposing your hair to a lot of heat (the hair dryer, straightening iron, curling iron, etc.) and using a hair mask at LEAST once a week.

yes, but only for a few years. especially if you try to bleach it yourself at home.

i took mine from almost chestnut brown to bleach blonde (myself, at home...what was i thinking?!?!?!)

it looked terrible, and it took about 3 years before my hair felt like hair again, and not straw. it was bad all the way around.

(my then three year old told me how bad it looked)
