Some cultures just aren't into genital mutilation. A lot of people aren't even religious or into the Abrahamic religions. Surprised?!
There is no reason for circumcision (despite the lies about health and hygiene, promoted by circumcised men so they don't feel so bad) and in the New Testament it specifically says that you do not need to circumcise. Even if it says everlasting in the beginning they changed that later. Does it surprise you that the bible is full of contradictions and holes?

The Roman pagan question is easy...why would they follow the dictates of a religion they didn't follow?
Christians believe that circumcision was part of the covenant specifically between God and the Hebrews. There is a passage in the NT that Christians take to mean that most of the OT laws do not apply to Christians, which is why they eat pork and shellfish (which Jews do not).

Often the spiritual meaning of religious tradition is forgotten, although the physical ritual is continued.
I'm not sure why this particular event was intended to take place on the eighth day exactly....perhaps it is symbolic of some other reference of time within the human psyche?
The country that I live in....frowns strongly upon circumcision, however it is allowed within our current laws under the legislation of "freedom of religion"....it is not a standard medical procedure.
"Everlasting Covenant"...... very impacting words....perhaps there is something of relevance there.
Excellent Question!

If you want to be a part of the 1st covenant then be circumcised.
However you can never be justified by that covenant. It was permanent to those who were under it. (everlasting)
Jesus Christ himself said "I come not to break the law but fulfill it." He said this because he is the"Christ" spoken of buy the profits Read Isaiah ch 53 verse 1-5 He was always part of the the covenant. He was the end of it. He fulfilled it Read the whole book of Hebrews, its (in my opinion) the best book for comparing the two covenants. its all in there.

I'm not an expert on Christianity, but it's my understanding that Jesus was circumcised because he was Jewish.
As others mentioned, most interpret circumcision to be a requirement for the Jewish people, not for others.
I know of nobody who believes that the punishment for not being circumcised is to "be killed." (Certainly Jews do not believe this.) I suspect that your translation is faulty.
Again as others have pointed out, many gentiles are circumcised. If you're thinking of getting circumcised, then go ahead.

besides the incontrovertible fact that, the council of Jerusalem did settle on the priority for then and forever; Gentile Christians do no longer might desire to be circumcised. additionally, Paul grew to become into Jesus particular Apostle to the Gentiles and he pronounced on his own that Gentile Christians did no longer might desire to grow to be circumcised!. the priority grew to become into settled purely approximately 2000 years in the past and it will constantly be settled; it relatively is a dull situation. Come on individuals!

this is talking about the OLD convenant in the Bible. When Jesus died and was resurrected, a new covenant was formed. This is how we get the new testament and the old testament of the bible. The new testament has a new set of rules that formed the base of rules for modern christianity. This is why Christians can eat what jews would call "unclean" meat because of the new rules.

Hellooo -- NEW testament.
However, LOTS of Christian men ARE circumcised, but recently that has dropped off somewhat because it is considered unnecessary surgery.
Again -- you aren't really seeking information. You're just trying to stir up controversy where none exists -- and you don't have a firm grasp on Christian or Jewish theology.
Not to mention that a person's circumcision or lack of it is absolutely none of your business anyway.

It was NOT an everlasting covenant, but a covenant "'til the end of the age."
Well, THE AGE ENDED, so now it is no longer in effect, and it NEVER WAS IN EFFECT except for Israel.

Actually I believe most infant boys are circumcised for hygiene reasons if nothing else. But since you are a Muslim I wouldn't expect you to understand anything you're reading there, nor the fact that Yeshua Jesus Christ made salvation possible by faith and not by works. As if we could save ourselves by performance. I could ask you tricky questions too, for example.. Why does your Quran teach you to lie in order to make yourselves and your religion look good? Why did Muhammad take certain verses out of the Quran after his followers complained that they sounded too Pagan? And why, why, WHY can't you guys figure out whether you're supposed to live peacefully with us, or behead us?
You are snakes, sons of the father of all lies, a title your "Allah" proudly boasts in the Quran. If you love God you would love His Son also, and recognize him for who he is. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and NO ONE comes to the Father but by him.
