Acts 2:31 (GNB) "David saw what God was going to do in the future, and so he spoke about the resurrection of the Messiah when he said, 'He was not abandoned in the world of the dead; his body did not rot in the grave.'"
The Bible does not teach the literal existence of this place called Hell, nor eternal torment, nor an immortal soul.

This is Apostle Peter speaking:
In Acts 2: 31 says, "Seeing what was ahead, He spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that He was not abandoned to the grave, nor did His body see decay."
Where did you read His soul was left in hell?
Jesus in no way, shape, form or passion ever went to hell.

The word 'hell' in Acts 2:31 is from the Greek, 'Hades'. It is also a quote from the Old Testament where the corresponding word was 'Sheol'. And this is merely a poetic reference to the grave. So, yes, Jesus was in "hell," the grave, for three days and three nights.

yes he went to hell... and rose again 3 days later
he went to hell to free the souls that were there b/c the gates of heaven were closed. since heaven was "closed" the people that died before jesus was born and died for their sins etc, did not have the oppurtunity to go to heaven so he went to hell and freed their souls.

He was in the place of the dead to reveal Himself to those who had died before He was born. There are several translations for hell, but yes, He did go there for a short time before He resurrected.

'He decended into hell' Hell is any place without God so purgatory does have Gods presence but anyway I believe it is referring to the bossom of Abraham which is where souls went before jesus came down to earth

Jesus did go to hell, but returned after defeating death. He didn't go there because of any sin.

Yes He went to Hell to set the prisoners free. He took the keys of hell and death and He has given them to His Church.
