How much is this coin worth and is it spendable in the US?

It's a New Zealand coin. It says Elizabeth II New Zealand 1988 on the front. On the back it says, 50 Endeavour.

New Zealand coins are "spendable" in New Zealand! Generally, you can exchange only notes, not coins, in countries other than where the coin originates.

It's still only worth 50cents, however if it is the larger 50cent coin it is out of date anyhow and no longer legal tender. July 2006 NZ updated all their coins, the 50cent one is now the size of the (old) 20 cent coin.
Even the 5-cent coin was removed from circulation in New Zealand

You can not spend it in the US.
