What gives a cop the right to just stop you on the street and frisk you and detain you if you have done nothing wrong this happened to me walking to the train after work I was just on my way home when a cop stopped me and detained my for almost an hour while he ran my background only to find nothing I've never been arrested in my life now should this make me mad or should I just let it go?

The police can not just detain you for no reason in the United States. A "Stop and Frisk" requires a burden of proof known as "reasonable suspicion".

An officer must have a belief that a crime has been committed and you are involved in or have information about it. He must be able to back this belief up with specific facts that his training and experience allow him to associate with criminal activity.

that should be a violation of your rights. they have to tell you your charges if you are detained. its in an amendment to the constitution i cant remember which 1 though

Without reasonable cause, it is a violation. Terry v. Ohio deals with reasonable suspicion.
