Is the steak fresh or frozen?

If steak is fresh. You start cooking the Chips first.

Preheat the oven. read the instructions on the chips. set temp, let oven get up to that temp. then put chips in, on a cookie sheet or tray. They probably bake for about 15 - 20 minutes. Set a timer, if you have one.

Are you griling the T-bone in a skillet? When there's about 10 minutes left to the chips cooking time. Heat up skillet, -a little oil or butter. Grill t-bone 5 min or so per side. It will be med rare. cook a little longer if you like. take out the chips when timer goes off. everything should be hot & ready around the same time.

Won't matter whether your stove is gas or electric - put your oven on 400º. When it's hot, put your frozen chips on a mesh rack (if you have one). Put your steak on a metal pan.

Put the chips in first for 10 minutes. Then put in the steaks for 10 minutes (with the chips still in the oven). Turn the steaks over and turn the chips. Cook both 10 minutes more. If the chips are done, remove from the oven and turn the broiler on. Broil the steaks for 2 minutes, turn over and broil for one more minute. If the chips aren't done, leave them in when you broil the steaks and they will crisp up.

Make sure your chips are sprayed or oiled. If you want them extra crispy, you can do what MacDonald's does - spray them with a sugar/water mixture. That causes the nice browning.
