I'm trying to clear some space by uninstalling a few programs and I came across a program that I can't uninstall.
I can't reinstall it, I no longer have the CD.
I searched my computer and there aren't any files with the same name.
Any suggestions?

sounds like you tried to just delete it, instead of uninstalling. that means there are still some files floating around. remove these with a registry cleaner. be very careful altering registry files; remember some files are shared.

If the actual program is no longer on your hard drive, meaning all of the files for it have been deleted, then it is not taking up any space. The fact that it shows up in the Add/Delete window shows that it was deleted without uninstalling it. Not anything to be concerned about. If you have a 3rd party maintenance/clean up program (such as System Mechanic, et al), you can use it to clear the shortcut pointers and registry entries for the program and remove it from the Add/Delete list.

I can't guarantee that this will work, but there is a program that allows you to remove programs just like the add-remove programs.

It can also clean space that you wouldn't be able to clean manually. It may make your computer faster. Make sure you read up a little on it though to make sure you know how to use it.

Try to install BCWipe and do it manually.

hmm you can't find it...

Maybe it's not really there...

Try CCleaner. It can scan and clean your registry. Free, quick, n easy.

If it's in your trash bin u can restore it, if not you'll need the CD depending on which file you didn't specify.
