No, I don't think they do. They are in something like a deep sleep until the resurrection. They do not know anything about what is happening in the "time warp" because they are outside time.

Visits to gravesides, funerals, flowers at the grave are all for the benefit of the living. The dead is gone and we have done everything we can ever do for them. Now we do it for our own feelings - pride.

What an original question!

Personally, I doubt it. From my viewpoint, my beloved Grandmother is not yet in heaven, she is waiting for the judgement day. Either way, I have not visited her grave since she was buried over 20 years ago. I may be in the minority, but for me there is NO comfort in a graveyard. I can clearly see her face, hear her voice and smell her scent vividly in my mind, where my memories of her live...........

I don;t think so that is why we always say bring us fowers when we are alive not when we are dead because we do not appreciate it anymore...when we a re dead.....what more for visitation.....not all visit their dead even because they believe when someone dies.....his body stays in soil until it decays and the soul travels .....to heaven if he was a good person.....but generally................I dont think dead people know!!we visit to give our respect to them..only as a part of our traditions or practices in our country or religion...............

If they choose to - it's up to them. Most people lose interest in the living after they pass, but some stick around and watch out for their families, or someone they were close to. I think it's always a good idea to tell people how you feel, even if you aren't sure they can hear you.

Depends on if they are "home". HA!

Some spirits who leave their bodies just get on with whatever. Some hang around and watch, or interfere, or help. Depends.

So, did ya leave a note incase they weren't there?

Really now, would you just stay at your grave and wait to see if anybody comes by if you were detatched from your body?

Dead people know you visit them when ever and where ever you think of them.

They really don't care. However, I shouldn't speak for them. All I know is that once a person is dead, whatever happens on earth no longer concerns them.
