I sent him an email stating "know one will be coming around tomorrow."

He believes i should have stated "no one will be coming around tomorrow"

I am not saying he is wrong but I am asking if we are both right in making the statements?

he is correct, you are incorrect.
This is because, to know means to understand, and no means none.

Sorry but you are wrong. Your statement does not make sense because know means to have knowledge about something like I know who you are. No on the other hand is what a Mother would tell a child who wants something that they can't have or something they can't do. No you can't go to the movies. No the opposite of yes. So NO you both are not right in making the statement, He is. Stephanie is also wrong. Grammar and spelling were my best subjects in school.

It depends on what you meant.

If there have been government agents interviewing buisness owners for possible illegal immigrants in the area, and you heard that an agent is on his way to your establishment, then you are warning your boss of the upcoming visitor: "Know one will be coming around tomorrow."

But if you aniticipate the Thanksgiving holiday will be keeping customers away, and you're trying to convince your boss to let you have the rest of the week off, you should write,"No one will be coming around tomorrow."

I hope you are ready to eat crow. He is correct
as you stated "know one"
when the word know means to have knowledge
and you needed to use the word
'no' as in opposite to yes
Spell checks do not always pick up on incorrect
word usage.
Good Luck and be graceful.

He is right. The word "no" means not any. The word "know"means to have information. Sorry, but you are incorrect this time.
