I have no idea why anyone celebrates thanksgiving. I understand what it has become but if you look at it's roots it is really a horrible holiday.

The pilgrims are freezing and starving so the native Americans save their sorry behinds, then the pilgrims turn around murder them, convert them by force and ravage their lands, this is something to be thankful for?

The honest to God truth is, the pilgrims ran out of beer, so the landed at we now call Plymouth Rock. It took a while, but after a long winter, spring planting, fall harvest, and a few 'sanctified' ingredients, the first keg was tapped. Wouldn't you know it, the neighbors showed up with food!

Obviously because Atheists have nothing to be thankful for. The only way that you can recognize that there are good things in the universe worth being thankful for. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the second one declares themselves an atheist, birds descend from heaven and peck off the sinners eyes, ears, nose and tongue so they can't appreciate anything anymore.

Because Thanksgiving isn't a religious holiday.. it's an american holiday. And, even if it was a religious holiday.. an atheist myself, I'd be gobbling down the free food too, psh.

Isn't it amazing how many times it gets spelled "Athiest?" And in the singular form, no less.

Have a great Turkey Day! =)
