I have to constantly remind myself that there average Christian is as nice and smart as the R&S version is hate-filled and obtuse.

I'm nice, and I'm not going to call you ignorant, or rude for assuming that all Agnostics and Atheists are mean.
I think you are right, in being mad that some of them are mean on here. I'm Agnostic by the way. I try to be nice, but truthful, or at least honest on my part when I'm answering questions.
I'm sorry you have been mistreated. But this is on both sides of the fence. I have been harassed by so-called Christians, and I say so-called, because I believe that EVERYONE has good in them. There are good Christians out there, there are also good Agnostics, Atheists, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, etc. So why is it that you automatically assume we are all Atheist if we don't believe what you believe?

I was nice and I think I still am nice. Christians don't bother me, but I've learned to spot the signs of the militant or insane and I stay clear of them. It reminds me of an old saying I used to know "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the hell out of the pig." People will be people - pick the ones you like whenever you can, and don't hesitate to vote with your feet when you find ones you don't like or simply avoid those - they will likely never change, just as I will likely never change to their point of view (and that is as it should be, right?). Life is too short to spend time beating one's head against a wall. Live and let means everyone.
Peace!

Yes I am still nice, but I just get so annoyed with ignorance. I mean I really don't mind if people are Christians, Muslims etc, but the people on YA seem to be the worst representatives of the groups.

I'm an Agnostic, which doesn't mean I lack faith. And golly, I still think I'm nice. Except to those darn Rosicrucians. Ooh, they fry my cheese.
Could I suggest buying a Mac? It might be Mr Gates' fault.

I've been coming and going on here for a looong time. I did go through a phase where I was angry and it lasted a while but now, I become amused. My atheism grows stronger and stronger over time.

Listen, mister, I'm with you all the way. I need to learn tolerance for my own sake, because it's hypocritical that I'm intolerant of their intolerance. Or is that okay? You tell me.

I think atheists are very combatative on R&S. They answer questions not asked of them and tend to dismiss religion in short one sentence answers on a regular basis. They impose themselves on christians just as much as christians impose themselves on atheists while on this site. Why that is, I don't know. I think I fall into it occasionally as well.

I think it has to do with believing in demons and thinking that is agnostic.
I mean, what other religion believes in survival is soooo important has no reason to live. E=MC^2 Enjoy!
