EMDR therapy is new (within the last 20 years) and controversial. There is no definitive explanation of how EMDR works. It is expensive and takes considerable time. To find out more about it type "EMDR" into Yahoo! web search. In the links that come up wikipedia has a good detailed analysis of its Research, description of use in treatment, and comparisons to other treatments for PTSD etc.

You will have to make up your own mind about its effectiveness for you based on a study of the procedure.

I am sure you will get your own life back; time cures all wounds even traumatic memories.

Good luck in your research, good mental health, peace and Love!
