i don't believe that's really important..like it should bug me forever. i believe that God is....therefore he has always been. I believe that God created the heavens and the earth....the heavens being the universe... and that we are so tiny in comparison to how ginormous that God is and the fact that He doesn't need us, but wants us....that i believe is what is important.

blessings.

Yes the universe exists. That's all that stuff up there beyond the atmosphere. You know, the things with the stars and galaxies. Earth is one of the tiny planets in a tiny solar system in a huge galaxy.

And God created the universe. It's not clear to me how long it took him to create the universe because scripture mostly talks about the earth. But he made it all roughly at the same time, in his sense of time. It was within a few days in his description of it. However, we are warned elsewhere that God's time is not like our time, so I don't really know how long a few days is.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." That was on the first day of creation.

Read the second verse of Genesis chapter one and you will find that the earth existed prior to the six days of creation. It says it was void and the surface was covered with water.

1) Yes
2) The earth is *part* of the universe, so (logically) at the same time.
