My brother and I are having an argument and I said that there is some things that don't have water. Who is Right?

Even some rocks have some water ,
But if it lives ,like plants ,trees animals .people 99 molecules out of a hundred are water ,
Blood is flavored colored water with minerals
if you removed all the water out of a body ,you got a mummies.
If you grind it up you got a hand full of carbon dust

we are water ,leaky bottles that constantly need topping up .
like a unglazed pottery that vaporises
you brother is mostly right

a grain of dry sand would count as something that does not have water
so based on that you are also right

but if it is alive ,it has to have water
a fish is just about 999.999 % water swimming in water

Water is a molecule of 1 hydrogen and 2 oxygen atoms. Therefore, all molecules without this arrangement do not include water, Carbon dioxide, Nitrogen, Helium etc.

Many many things can be soluble in water but then again many can't (gasoline).

Taking the classic 20 questions format, animal, vegetable, or mineral. I would dare say all living things have water in them. All minerals in pure form have no water.

a lot of things do NOT have water as a integrel componet. there is no H2O in a vacuum, lava, many rocks (but H2O can seep into fissures) the sands of sahara (humidy is often 0 %), pure gasses , as mentioed above, stainless steel, plastics, ceramics and on and on
