I remmeber this one time I had a date with this girl and we were talking on the phone. And she was talking about a another guy that she likes. Do you think this is another way a girl rejects a guy with out really saying it. Becouse it did not work out. Like another way of saying I don't like you. Have any of you other girls done this?

it depends on the situation, I haven't done that like that before but it most likely was for her to tell you she likes someone else is most likely a sign she isn't interest in you it could also be to see how much you like you so based on your reaction. sorry there is no real clear answer on this one

I don't think it means she doesn't like you. I think she's trying to prove to you how desirable she is, and how other guys are falling all over her. She's not trying to make you jealous, or anything, but wants you to know that other men find her attractive, and that she's a mighty good catch. It's not a very good method of communicating that idea, but it's one of the oldest tricks in the book, but often times it works, and sometimes it backfires, because on the other hand, it makes a guy feel like he's just one of the crowd, and doesn't have much of a chance. For most folks, competition is one of the biggest turn-offs, and apparently you feel that way too. I guess time will tell whether she's just fishing, or throwing the big one back in the sea.

No, it just means that she doesn't see you as a more than a good friend. Just be straight forward and ask her if she wants to go out on another date. Or just change the subject when she brings up the other guy.
Good Luck.

Well, chuck, if I understood girls, I would understand my own feelings. But you know what, you may be wrong. There is a guy that I am very close to, and would date in a heartbeat, but I talk with him about guys I like, because I can't obsess over him forever, right?

I have personally never done this before but I think that it all depends on how she said it. If she is talking about the past and talks about him in a not so "interested" way, it might just mean that she wanted to tell you about her past relationships. However, if she seems excited about it, she might hint that she is not interested in you. I think you should go with your GUT feeling. Good Luck :-)

I think she was not rejecting you by telling you that she likes other guys... She is just excited about the other guy and unfortunately, she open up her feelings at you... But, I think she doesn't like you.... Well, I haven't done this... It is always better to tell the person straightforward....

Well, maybe she wanted to like you, but yeah, take as a sign either she was using you to make him jealous, or maybe she just didn't want to still like him, but couldn't?
Don't take it personally, but if you a with a girl and shes talking about someone else, its not right.
If a girl really likes you...
Hope you sort it out and get a better (less-attatched) girl next time! ;-)
Oh, yeah, and yes, I have done it...
But it wasnt that i didn't like the guy...I wanted to like him, but was more in love with some one else, you know?

Of course not!
That would hurt the guy's feelings, and that's really hurtful in the first place.
If I didn't like someone, I'd gently say it, or just let it taper off, instead of rejecting a guy like that.

She might be hinting that you have competition. That makes the guys who really aren't interested drop out, and it makes the ones that are step up their game. Maybe she just wants to see where you land on that spectrum.
