The US, UK and Russia won. Russia did play a very important role in defeating Germany in Europe. US and British air power were very crucial to Russia being able to have an affect on Germany though. The two things that aided Russia the most otherwise were their cold winter and the T-34. The US and Britain pushed the Germans out of Western Europe. Don't forget the US took care of Japan with help from mainly just Australia. The US was also responsible for about 50% of the defeat of Germany. You Russian's have every right to be proud of what your boys did against the Germans back then though. It's too bad your leader killed more of you than Hitler did.

Let's put it this way:
France backed out militarily within the first year, but fought in a guerilla resistance until the end.
Germany was winning up until about two weeks after Normandy.
Russia had to rely on sheer numbers to win, but had the poorest combat record of every country involved.
Japan was killing their own soldiers faster than inflicting casualties, but still lasted longer than the other axis powers since it was only fighting in the Pacific until the last few months when Russia poured down through Korea.
Britain would've gotten their arses kicked if the United States hadn't been attacked by Japan and come to their assistance in Tunisia, Normandy and Italy.
The Germans had the most powerful ground forces by a long shot. However, the allies had a major advantage in the form of being able to bomb German factories. American factories were safely protected back in the states while German factories were (relatively) easy targets for the bombers, assuming that they got past the Luftwaffe, and I salute those that didn't.
The Allies won officially after Japan surrendered.

That is an interesting question.
Japan expanded its reach throughout the Pacific and Asia in the 1930s to secure resources to fuel economic development.
Germany invaded Poland, Russia and France (among others) to fuel economic development and get it out of a terrible depression. It also invaded France to ease the pain of a very humiliating surrender imposed upon it in 1919 by France.
A few decades after the war, Japan and Germany are both serious economic powerhouses on the world stage. Second only to the USA in some areas, ahead of them in others.
And for 65 years France has been the target of much scorn for its unwillingness to fight to save itself. While the Germans are well respected, the French are called "Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys" by Bart Simpson.
The USA and the USSR achieved military victory in 1945. But within 15 years both Japan and Germany achieved the goals the started the war for. (Though in very different ways from their expectations)
I think you could make the case that they both lost, and won the war.
Just a different way to look at history...

The Red Army was the major contributor (perhaps 70%) to the Allies' victory over the Axis powers in the European theater, whereas the US and British/Commonwealth troops had the bulk of the fighting and winning against Japan.
And the past tense of "win" in English is "won." The word "wined" means to have drunk wine, which would put a different spin on your question. Your English is a heck of a lot better than my Russian, though.

Do you mean who WON WWII??
The Big 3 Allies, composed of U.S.A., Britain, and the Soviet Union(now Russia), won the war against the Major Axis group, mainly Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, and Fascist Italy.

The french wine was very popular but very weak. The taste and character of the wine seemed to disappear when it was needed most. The Italian wine was tasty but unreliable and wishy washy. The German wines were overpowering and almost rude.
I think Amsterdam beer out wined the wines.

If you are Russian, I hope you have discovered that WW2 started in 1939, unlike 1941 like the Russian schoolbooks used to pretend. (Nazi-Soviet alliance, joint invasion of Poland etc.)
The real gainer was USA. The main loser was Britain who bankrupted herself, plus all the people of Europe East of the river Elbe.

The word is not winNed. The proper word is "won".
America. It fought a war in Europe and in the Pacific at the same time.
Japan's navy was more powerful than the U.S.'s at the beginning of the war, and America still won.
