Just a rough figure....how much have you donated in the past year?

And this doesn't include basket offerings...that just goes to paying the bills and to pay the preacher...

I have Donated Children Story books and Christian Activity books for the little kids, also have donated coloring sheets for the kids. and donated a bible its a very small church. and the pastor i know don't get paid anything from the church, all the money the little church gets is used to pay for the bills and utilities. He has another job which is a teacher. Also the pastor has a very ugly warn out car. But also this Pastor teaches tolerance in his church tolerance to all religions he is probably the best pastor I have met. but im not tio be respected for sumthin i should do anyway

The specific amount is between me and God. Through October, it worked out to slightly over 10% of my income and about 5 hours a week of my time. ...and my garage is full of about 10 to 15% of my "stuff" (clothing, furniture, toys, books, etc...) we have earmarked for donation to various charities over the next few weeks.

Tithing is an Old Testament Law, and the OT (with its commandments and regulations) was completely abolished and canceled at the cross. The New Testament just tells us to give generously...it does not say anywhere in the NT to tithe, not once. I have given a monthly sum to my church, worked every other Sunday in the nursery, and given food and clothing to the neighborhood shelter.

What do you want to get out of this? What does it have to do anything? Only faith saves; not how much money you give. Also, there are many ways to donate; i donate more of my time and efforts than i do my money. But neither of which will buy a passport into Heaven/out of Hell.

That is between God and I. I give above what the Lord says to give every time I have it. I love helping others!

Jesus said we are to give without even letting our left hand know what the right one is doing. So do you think your question is appropriate?
