When I start singing higher, i dont use my falsetto, until i get to a note i can't hit without using falsetto, and then when i sing it, it sounds horrible. It's very noticeable that i used my falsetto.
How should i fix this? Also, when i do i start using my falsetto, instead of just using it for a note i can't reach without it?

Don't ever use force to sing higher. You will ruin your voice. I use a singing method called "coning" when I sing. The higher in my range I go, the lighter I sing. This also requires you to go into your head voice earlier than if you are just belting it out. If I know that what I am singing is going to go into my falsetto range, I will cut over into head voice (falsetto) several notes lower than when I know I will need it. That gives me more control over the sound and makes the notes in the break area between full voice and falsetto, less noticeable. If you wait until your absolutely have to go into falsetto, you will miss it 9 times out of 10. As you come back lower in your range, stay in your head voice several notes lower than normal, and again, control your break back into your normal voice.

To me, there is nothing worse than someone screaming their notes, just so they can hit that high one.

Did you know the women do not go into falsetto? That is really only a term for men. Women use their "Whisper" range for their high notes. If you think of it like that, it might help you remember that you do not want to scream your high notes.

As long as you think you can reach for the high pitch,go for it....but if you feel that you can't go any further, than that's the time you should start to use your falsetto. But make sure to put more 'force' when you do it,than people would hardly notice...but if you wanna reach that high note, without using falsetto, get it from the stomach,it will help to open up ur diaphragm more, and it would be much easier to reach it without faking it...hope this helps ya....

it might just be in the coice of song. choose a song that you can reach all the notes without using your falsetto. maybe if it doesnt sound out of place, you could just sing the octave lower.
