A stay of approximately 2 weeks is more than a 'transit', do you plan to sit in the airport for the entire two-week period?

I thought not, wise up.

No, not if you're flying back out to where you came from.

Transit Visas are for people passing *through*. If you fly, say, from England to India, have two days in India and then fly on to Sri Lanka, you'd get a Transit Visa. If you fly from England to India, stay there a few days and then fly back to England, you need a Tourist Visa.

Even if you fly on, you need a tourist visa if your stay is longer than needed to make a connection. You might get away with three or four days, but two weeks? Nope, need a tourist visa.
