The First Pillar of Islam is the testimony of faith in Allah alone, and testimony to the fact that Muhammad is his final Prophet to all mankind (and Jinn). What does this Pillar mean to you?

Jesus did not die, but was risen up to Allah. He will return and lead us in a time of peace (Islam). Peace be upon him. Jesus is not the son of God, nor did he die for our sins. As that would be injustice on God's part to kill an innocent for the sins of the guilty. And Muslims are not allowed to kill anyone without just cause (i.e. defense).

It means everything worth living for...la illaha illallah! That, plus muhammadur rassullullah, makes up the testimony of faith that has breathed new life into me, and sustains me from day to day. It doesn't matter what other people say - as long as i have at least this one pillar, i can live peacfully - in ISLAM.

Prayer to God five time a day in a prescribed manner as Mohammad SAW showed to his companions.

It's a simple non-ritualistic initiation into a religion. No drowning, no dancing (well, unless there's a party afterwards) no nothing. It's confirming a belief, which is what you should have to do in order to become a member of a religion.

It is simply part of the overall delusion of Islam. Since the Qur'an has errors, the notion that it could be the word of god is untenable; hence, Muhammad was a scamster -- the most successful perpetrator of a fraud in all of human history.

It means to me that Muhammad is a false prophet. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only one that died for your sins. He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. Believe and trust in that and you to can get into God's heaven without having to kill Christian. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Romans 4: 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

To me, it means intellectual death.

But you're free to find your own meaning in it.

Why believe in a specific god? Where is the evidence? Why is Mohammad the do all and end all? Shouldn't belief have room to grow beyond one man, especially one whose life was so imperfect?
