Is it something I mix myself or is it already prepared? What section of the grocery store would I find it in? Thank you.

At a store you almost exclusively can buy only broth ,Stock is something you make yourself it takes time , and has much more flavor . Some people incorrectly use the term interchangeably.WRONG!. Emeril has a carton of stuff he markets and calls Stock I don't know. I make my own from Shank, Shin , Baked marrow bones , and Ox tails. WOW.Along with Aromatics browned off first. Google it for Chicken stock or get an online subscription To Cooks Illustrated for good recipes.

Stock is water, boullion cubes, celery, onions, carrotts, easy on the salt, as boullion is salty, adding in the neck, giblets of the bird. You cook this for about an hour till veggies are tender and you want to taste the broth for seasoning. Some people also add in wine, brandy to taste. Then you add this to your stuffing for moisture and flavor, to your taste, not too much or you end up with mush instead of stuffing.

Stock, is the now flavored broth
that you cooked the meat in.

You can use the meat stock in soups,
stews, and as a flavoring.

You can buy Can broth,
broth cubes, or make your own.
