Jacquot...

Once again, a most interesting question! Thank you!! I guess I am considered to be VERY abnormal, so, for me, it is tough to answer this question. However, I will try. Due to my unstable flatulence, laughing at inappropriate times (funerals, for example), and general overall goofiness, I could never get into my dream job---being in the military and serving our country. So...just for that alone, I often wish I was "normal". Then, my lack of social skills have left me alone on more ocassions that I would like to be. However, having said that, I am surrounded by cats and dogs, who I converse with often. I try to get them to share my vast and varied interests, but sadly, the often spurn my attempts. As an example, I tried to share my love of the song "Cats" with one of my felines, only to scratched numerously when I tried to put the ear buds into his tiny ears so he could too enjoy the majesty of that song. That, alone is considered abnormal. So--to answer your question, abnormal is what I am, and I have no clue what normal is, exactly.

Normal is different for each individual. I consider my life normal-but for a person living in any large city anywhere in the world my rural life style is abnormal. There is really no normal for humanity as a whole.

Normal is dull and boring. Be different. Be yourself. Normal is a societal standard and I don't adhere to norms. Normal is being a good citizen robot that tattle tells everything you do that isn't normal. lol I barely wrapped my tongue around that one. Be exciting, be yourself.

Atomic, my psych teacher always said do not call each other weird, call each other unique. lol Coz everyone was calling me weird.

Outside the norm is where the fun is, Just a little outside. On the fringe as they say. Which is surprisingly enough, normal!

Normal is a perspective. Weird is a perspective.

Normal is defined as what is familiar. Weird is what is unfamiliar. What is normal to one, is weird to another. The more normal you try to be, the weirder you are.

if based solely on the norms established by the majority this is a flawed logic but if there is factual reasonable basis then the norm is sensible for the right reason not for fear or popular consensus.
