My new Hall and Oates religion worship sessions are held in my garage. So, it makes me neither a Christian nor a car, but it makes me super happy to rock out to a little "Man Eater." Sadly, I'm just not getting much traction with the new religion. I think I need a good hook to get the people in the proverbial folding chairs. I really need that collection plate cash flow to keep me in Dewars and Vicks Vapo-Rub. Hey, we all have our vices, don't judge me!

Who said going to church makes you a Christian?

It doesn't.

Faith in Christ the Savior is what makes you a Christian.

Going to the garage just makes me turn on the light...

Hello Jacquot !!!!

This is a MOST provocative question; one that I have been pondering myself. I used to go to church on a daily basis, and twice on Sunday. However, now that I rarely attend (when all the stars are aligned just right), I feel much closer to God. I sing his praises, because, to be honest, when I went every day it just felt like an obligation and I started to resent his intrusion on all my important daily routines, such as brushing my teeth, reading, going for a walk, eating meals, watching sitcoms. It got to be such a pain, and my animosity towards God plainly started to show---I was giggling a lot at certain pious moments, etc. So---now, that I go once in a blue moon, I appreciate God much more. Of course, I often wonder, like the person who rarely takes his car to the garage, if my inner workings are going to breakdown...However, thanks for verbalizing a question I often wondered.

Great point.

Sleeping in church does not make one a Christian.

Nor does sleeping in a garage make one a Volkswagen.

HaHaaaaaaaaa I have that quote on my guitar case. It's so funny right? Going to church isn't about checking off the box to say you're a good christian, haha! It's not about being a "good christian", it's about having a loving relationship with the one who created you! I'd say that's an awesome thing.

That is a really silly question and I am still laughing. Good one - I love it!

Not sure if going to the garage makes you a car but it might make you a mechanic.....

Going to Church doesn't make you a Christian. Just like going to a democratic debate doesn't make you a Democrat or a debater. Christianity is a choice that effects your life, the Church is just supposed to be the gathering of such people.
