not sure on this one-i know lots are deleted-and i know trolls are responsible for some-but i see questions disappearing that i really what to answer and on some there seems no reason that anyone would bother to report---i dont often agree with you on most things but this one i do---just my thoughts--smile and enjoy the night

The reason I had done it is because i got sick of the answers. I asked a question for Christians, but the out of the 47 answers I received in 5 minutes, none were anything but vulgar insults, so I got sick of that and deleted the question.

Dear, Deito It is sad that the question was deleted. Since I have read the question I cannot see why it would be deleted. Perhaps you should appeal, but then again you accept the impermanent nature of such things. I will repeat my answer just incase you did not get to read it. There is a Taoist story of an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. "Such bad luck," they said sympathetically. "May be," the farmer replied. The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. "How wonderful," the neighbors exclaimed. "May be," replied the old man. The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. "May be," answered the farmer. The day after, military officials came to the village to draft young men into the army. Seeing that the son's leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out. "May be," said the farmer. _()_

Some people delete their own questions because they don't get the answers they wanned. Others do it because, on a second thought, they find the question to be stupid :) It happened to me ! :) I also deleted one of my questions once because I realised I asked it in the wrong section.
That's what comes to my mind

If the question is deleted, go to the profile page. If the Asker has an open email you can email the asker the answer you want to give.

Because the moderators don't give a crap. The squeakiest wheel gets greased, and whoever "squeaks" loud enough (sends the most reports) gets those questions deleted that they don't like.
By the way, I'd love for you to answer my question directed towards ex-atheists: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071119131633AAeuxrH

Sometimes Yahoo's filtering prevents a question from appearing. In those cases, I delete my own questions.

Beats me. It doesn't make any sense to delete a question that you just asked. Unless they somehow knew that it was going to get violated, and didn't want to risk getting suspended or deleted.

I don't know. Remember my questions on theists, and if they'd renounce the existence of god if it bettered mankind? Deleted. Bah. To hell with Yahoo!

C'est la vie. I've deleted several good questions because nobody answered them an hour after posting.
