Yes it does matter because Jesus had to be born without a sin nature.
Jesus was not born in sin; that is, He had no sin nature (Hebrews 7:26). It would seem that the sin nature is passed down from generation to generation through the father (Romans 5:12, 17, 19). The Virgin Birth circumvented the transmission of the sin nature and allowed the eternal God to become a perfect man.

Considering the large number of deities born of a virgin, I would call a virgin birth a major prerequisite for inventing a god.

It represents something not of this world
But ...
well...

who checked her out afterwards?
Someone must have.

And when they did, and found her intact, well...did they wonder if Jesus was adopted?

I don't know. Maybe people just believed without looking. But pragmatic as I must be, I am left to wonder....I usually wait patiently for this answer, but it is not an easy question to pose.

Let us suppose that this is true, what does it mean? A baby is born in the usual way, but without any harm to the mother. This medically is impossible. There are always signs. Without these signs, one must conclude one of two things:
1) she was never pregnant
2) He restored her as He was born, or very soon afterwards.

Did you know that Virgin in the old days meant Young woman, Virgin-Intacta meant Not knowing a man.
so there is evidence that the virgin birth is an error and they meant that mary was young. not that she was a virgin.

YES. It matters because virgin birth is the only possible way Yeshua (Jesus) could have been sinless. According to God's Word it's the sins of the fathers that are passed down from generation to generation. Jesus had no earthly father - his father was God in Heaven. So he knew no sin.

Absolutely. If Christ was not born from Virgin Mary, then He supposedly had a human father, and He was not a God.
