I think it came on WEDU I thought it was awesome couldnt quit watching it. What did you think?

I watched it and found it very well done for how broad a subject it is. I really think his use of different people from different areas of the country serving really showed how the war affected those communities as well. And Im glad he didnt hid the death and destruction, the valor, the American and European troubles and gains from the war.
I like the series so much I bought the book that goes with it. You get the entire documentary on it PLUS hundreds of photographs. So far I havent seen something bad come out of Ken Burns....hes genious!

I was not able to see all of it, but I hope to in the future. I loved some of the other Ken Burns' documentaries, especially "Baseball" and "The Civil War".

Absolutely amazing. I'm a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and I've got nothing on those guys. Heroes to the highest representation.

Hell yeah... awesome documentary. Changed my perspective of war on the deepest levels. It doesn't glorify war, it tells it like it is. Hell.
