This happens to me from time to time. It's pretty interesting to say the least. It's like your asleep in the sense that your not moving or anything, but still half awake mentally and you usually cannot move. You can feel yourself in the dream, talk to people in the dream, and be in the dreamworld but are at the same time present in reality in the bed. Usually, the dream isn't very vivid when this happens, kind of like a half awake lucid dream basically. If you relax and forget about your body when this happens you can usually transition right into a lucid dream where you know your dreaming but are fully in the dream scenery and can manipulate the course of the dream

It's completely usual, no reason to be scared. I'm always busy at work so I have lots of thoughts in my head, and also I play video games sometimes, so it's very usual for me. Like once my dad was trying to wake me up in the morning, I completely and clearly remember that I was telling him "Dad, just kill that mouse and I will stand up" :P lol

I had a dream once. Real weird.

I was dreaming and in that dream I was dreaming and in that dream I was dreaming. It went in a few dreams ways.

In one dream I was scared a bit so I tried to wake up. I woke up so then I was dreamign and in taht dream I was dreaming.

But then I was still dreaming took me a while to realize that.

So then i tried to and did wake up.

So then i was still dreaming a dream.

Ok so basically I had to force myself to wake up through like a dream in a dream in a dream in a dream.

Man not easy. I finally got it so i was actually AWAKE.

While in the dream, you realize that you are, indeed, in a dream. Sometimes you can wake yourself up or even change the direction of the dream.

Yes and some times it gives a direct information about future events, but again it depends on several other factors including your life style etc.
