What if this universe was just here to begin with, why does it have to be believed there was a beginning and creation? The human mind is so powerful, as we know, so God can just be an idea we keep building up.

The instruments of science have identified radiation indicative of the Big Bang, the inception of the Universe, so it is quite doubtful that the Cosmos had no beginning. A solid-state universe would not change; stars would not die, and there would be no "black holes". There are many proofs that the cosmos develops evolutionarily. However, that situation has no bearing upon whether the concept of god is a product of the human mind. You are correct, of course, that the idea of god is continually undergoing elaboration by humans.

some still believe that the Universe continually goes through Expansion and Collapse for all eternity....and if it is true that Energy cannot be destroyed...only changed...then maybe that is the case...
But I don't know...and neither does anyone else on this planet. Since it is impossible to know, people will put forth there own "Ideas" to explain the Universe. Some of these ideas are interesting and thought provoking....others are just plain silly.
Religion often enters into the mix with supposed devine information....however the fact is ...our best hope of finding answers is the science of cosmology. At least there, you are dealing with what we currently know...based on our current findings...Science also welcomes you to challenge any part of it...in fact, science demands that you challenge its findings.
Cosmology does not demand that your answers must come from faith..... listen, learn, gather facts, then draw your conclutions based on those facts.....

Conversely,
What if there is a God? What if the laws of science and mathematics point to God's existence and power? What if I am wrong in believing I am not subject to God's laws, as I am forced to be subject to the laws of science and mathematics? What happens when I die?

Its a two-way street...so be careful of on-coming traffic.

God cannot be just an idea because i have a relationship with Him (through His grace)....the human heart is much much more powerful than the human mind....

That is what you know because of your ignorance to the bible and your non belief on the words of God in the bible.
Your human mind is nothing without God and all of us are nothing without God. Remember that we were created from nothing but dust. Why not thank God for giving you life?

If the human mind was so powerful then none of us would be on here

what if he is not? how could it be smart to choose not to believe when if you are wrong you go to hell and if a believer is wrong about God then there is no consequence. Your mind is so powerful that it is creating the entire universe.
